Alvin Abulencia - 72 hours Before Isolation

I currently live in Ottawa, ON, Canada. The following images depict how the city went about its business 72 hours before and after the government asked people to stay in their homes due to increasing incidences of SARS-CoV-2 aka COVID-19 in the province. The isolation was laced by false spring snow and temperatures.
Tensions high, morale low, fear optional.

Lourens Samuel - Hong Kong Standstill

As a flight attendant and full time photography student I end up with tons of photos but very little free time. Unfortunately it happens that sometimes I don't even check what I have been photographing. Being locked up now finally allows me to start scanning, selecting, editing and hopefully find some treasures in the piles of negatives I've never scanned. The first thing I started editing was my last trip to Hong Kong about a month ago. By this time life in Hong Kong had pretty much come to a stand still because of the Corona Virus. Hong Kong was badly affected by the SARS epidemic so they quickly took drastic measures after the arrival of the Corona virus. Not knowing the same situation was about to come our way I was shocked by the surreal state this city was in.

Osanna Davi - Life Suspended

I live in Italy and the entire nation is currently on lockdown. Today is my 7th day of quarantine and time goes by slowly. I keep my mornings occupied with daily routine, everyday duties and catching up on the news. On the other hand, my afternoons are still, quiet, mellow. My life is suspended and everything around me feels metaphysical.
