Alexander Gouletas - Tesseracts

December 02, 2022 by Gergo Farkas

I really like to use Integral and peel apart film to portray my subjects in more ways than light and shadow. By breaking the medium you can show more complexities to the character. However, attempting to remain true to my subjects, choices like stock, printing material, perspective, processing, and time are all considerations on how to convey a particular attitude. I often use my insights as a portrait photographer, and a photojournalist to inform my decision making process, where as in I do not pose my subjects but rather place them in a situation and allow them to show themselves. The process has reignited my love for photography, and made me a better artist in my professional life as well.
