Xi Zhou - Fleeting Spaces

January 27, 2023 by Gergo Farkas

I took this photo series in an abandoned place in New Orleans. This is a space where reality and fantasy intersect, The human traces such as peeling paint and faded facades, serve as a reminder of the ever-changing nature of our world and the fleeting passage of time. these details provide an evocative window into the past, present, and future, provide a glimpse into the human condition, as well as the way nature is reclaiming man-made structures. It’s an adventure to explore mystery and imagination, the combination of strangeness and familiarity comes together and gives me a wonderful illusion, even though this is the end of the world looks like for me.
