Denis Wong - Gateways

April 18, 2025 by Gergo Farkas

These images are part of a project which explores introspection, impermanence, and my own vulnerabilities.

In this intimate and layered series, I blur the lines between the inanimate and the existing, seeking alternative perspectives as gateways to connect both worlds. By questioning the visual logic of my environment, I aim to reveal unexpected renditions of it. Ultimately, these images act as portals into the inner dialogue that constantly inhabits me as both an artist and a human being.

The creative work on this series is ongoing and began roughly two and a half years ago. I usually develop my vision in a context of meditative observation, where I allow my surroundings to inspire my imagination. This is my personal way to escape the visual pollution of our time, in which I regularly feel subjected to invasive stimulation.
