Deep Time is a new series of experimental photography on the west coast of Portugal.

Albutiu works with analog photography to explore deep time, the profound time of geological and ecological durations that exceed human perception. He frequently uses expired film, allowing chemical instability and chance to actively intervene in the construction of each image. Imperfection thus becomes a testimony to the material presence of time.
