Simone Pampurini - Atlantica

March 20, 2026 by Gergo Farkas

"Atlantica" is a photographic project tracing the western edge of Europe — from Galicia to Scotland — guided by an invisible yet persistent force: the ocean wind.

Rather than mapping specific locations, the work constructs a climatic geography. Landscapes blur and converge into a single mental coastline shaped by exposure and instability. The Atlantic is not a backdrop, but an origin — a force that defines light, rhythm, and form.

The project examines tension between permanence and erosion, structure and vulnerability. The wind remains unseen, yet its traces reveal a landscape in constant negotiation with time.
