I Am Not Here means not being present—and not exclusively—physically. Detachment can lead to a space where the passing of time, light and night, the hours have no meaning, and where what is real is not perceived but nevertheless experienced. The I Am Not Here project seeks to explore this emotional reaction, where the images captured by the eyes are encoded as material and silent scenarios in which the most intimate thoughts reverberate, adrift in alienation.
