Ania Cywinska - Collages

July 02, 2021 by Gergo Farkas

Ania Cywinska deeply trusts her intuition and likes to follow it in the creative process. The presented selection of images include a series of embroidered collages that were inspired by Andersen’s “Snow Queen.” Another inspiration behind her series was an attempt to visualize the feeling of anxiety and unspecified but inevitably approaching danger that accompanied her in a difficult time in life. Ania uses collages as a form of self-expression, and a method to explore and illustrate her feelings and emotions.

Ania Cywinska is a collage artist and fashion photographer based in NYC. Her work have been exhibited in Poland, Spain, Germany, Slovakia and Russia. Her collages have also been featured in the book Collage by Women: 50 Essential Contemporary Artists.
